Baxter police investigate school threat

On January 19, 2022, the Baxter Police Department received information regarding a possible threat to  the Forestview Middle School. Through the initial investigation it was learned that the threat was not to  the school but rather involved several juveniles who potentially made threats towards one another. 

Currently the investigation continues but authorities are confident that at no time was there a threat to  the school. At this time no arrests have been made. The Baxter Police Department will work with the  Brainerd School District on any disciplinary actions and the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office on  possible criminal charges related to this incident.
