Polk County, MN – Nathan Peterson gave the weekly FSA Report on Thursday, January 20th. The beginning of the report focused on the upcoming deadline for the disaster relief programs offered through FSA to producers. These programs include the Livestock Forage Program, which help reimburse livestock producers for the loss of grazing pasture during the 2021 drought, the Water Hauling Assistance Program, which assists those who had to haul water to their livestock, and the ELAP Feed Hauling for those who had to haul feed in an excess miles. All of the listed programs have an application deadline of January 31st. For those who work through the East Polk office, the limited hours only allow four working days to complete applications. Peterson then spoke about the Marketing Assistance Loan Program.
