Cass County Sheriff’s respond to crash in Pequot Lakes area

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash Friday morning, November 18 involving a Waste Partners garbage truck and a deer. The crash happened around 6am on County Road 1 in Maple Township, near Pequot Lakes. The southbound truck was struck by two deer which entered the highway. The collision caused the truck to veer off the road and roll over. The driver, a 50 year old male, had to be extricated from the truck, having suffered serious injuries. (&)He was transported by helicopter to a St. Cloud area hospital after receiving treatment at the. scene.
