(Aitkin, MN) — One of many events planned during the Aitkin All Class Reunion this week includes three shows of the musical, “Church Basement Ladies” at the Aitkin High School Auditorium Thursday, Friday, and Sunday this week.

We spoke last week with longtime Aitkin Community Theater director Bryan Johnson about putting on the musical the second time in less than a year.

With the sets for the musical being saved from the Fall with the thought of doing the play again, the cast did have their concerns of their retention of the lines.

With the cast and set ready, the musical keeps the premise simple compared to other shows.

Showtimes will also coincide with the Aitkin All-Class Reunion.

With this being a special occasion besides the cast being graduates of Aitkin High School the support staff also have their own Gobbler roots.

Those attending the All Class Reunion will be able to attend the shows with special wristbands for free while the general public will be able to purchase tickets at $10 per person 15 minutes before showtime.

Our full conversation with Bryan Johnson, who will direct his final community theater productions this week, can be found on the Wake The Lakes page at www.rjbroadcasting.com.
