Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office Warns of scams

(Brainerd, MN) — Crow Wing County Sheriff Eric Klang and the Sheriff’s Office have been getting reports of residents receiving calls from scammers claiming to be local law enforcement collecting money or gift cards to clear up warrants.

Sheriff Klang notes that law enforcement will never call you to collect money to clear up a warrant. If anyone receives the attempted scam calls to not fall victim or give them any identification or access to bank account information.
