Dekko Weight Loss Challenge Gets Underway Next Week
Ada, MN — It’s a New Year and that could mean a new you! The Dekko Community Center is Ada is kicking off their annual Dekko Weight Loss Challenge on Thursday, January 12th and hopes to help transform your lifestyle over the following 8 weeks. Dekko Director Brianna Eggen says the purpose of this challenge is to help you feel better and create goals and routines that will help you build muscle and lose weight.
Weigh-ins will take place each Thursday during the Weight Loss Challenge and if you happen to gain BMI, body fat, and weight you will have to pay an extra $2 that week, which helps with accountability. Eggen says accountability, along with encouragement during those tougher weeks from friends and family, is the key to being successful in this challenge.
The cost to participate in the challenge is $40 for Dekko members and $80 for nonmembers, which this year includes an 8-week membership to the facility. The male and female with the largest percentage of BMI lost after the 8 weeks will split the pot.
