Donating Blood Is An Easy Process
Ada, MN — This weekend on the Access Health Program, we chatted with Jessica Kinzler of Vitalant about the ins and outs of donating blood. Blood continues to be in short supply and your donation will help save someone’s life, and donating is a pretty simple process. Kinzler says the whole process takes less than an hour and the actual blood draw only takes a few minutes.
There are a few requirements for those who give blood and some things that could exclude you from giving a donation as well. Kinzler says there are also some misconceptions about what’s required as well.
And with lots of sickness going around, the one Vitalant does ask is that you are healthy and free of illness when you come in to donate.
