The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds overcame 5 turnovers on offense and then had a solid defensive performance to hold on for a 14-8 win over Ada Borup – West.  The Thunderbirds had to rely on their defense as the Cougar offense would have opportunities with good field position.  Ada Borup-Wests defense played well with some well timed blitzes, but the Thunderbirds would convert with some big plays to keep drives alive and would hold on for the win to stay undefeated at 4-0 while ABW drops to 3-1.
