Serving played a big role in the outcome of the match at Bagley Thursday night as the Fosston Greyhounds defeated the Bagley Flyers 3-0 (25-10,25-12 & 25-12). The Greyhounds had 14 service aces compared to only one ace for the Flyers. Evie Dryburgh and Hannah Kroening led Fosston with four aces each as the Greyhounds improved to 18-2 overall and 7-0 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Katelyn Vesledahl led the Greyhounds with 11 kills with Genevive Rue adding 9 kills and Tessa Manecke 7 kills for Fosston. McKenna Melbo, Kathryn Agnew and Kira Thompson each had 4 kills for Bagley as the Flyers fall to 8-12 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The Greyhounds have not lost a match since September 10th when they lost to Underwood and B/G-MR at the Ada-Borup-West Tournament. The Greyhounds won the “B” Squad match 2-0 and Fosston also won the “C” Squad match 2-0 over Bagley. Fosston will play at the Perham Tournament on Saturday, October 8th and will face Pierz in their first match at 10:00 am. The Flyers will return to action on Monday, October 10th when they travel to Warroad.
