Leading by a touchdown the Hillsboro Central Valley Burros opened the second half with three straight touchdown drives to defeat the Harvey Wells County Hornets 36-6. A Burro interception and a fourth down sack gave their offense short fields that they were able to convert into a pair of touchdowns for a 14-0 lead. The Hornets found their way into the end zone midway through the second quarter and then stopped the Burros at the end of the half inside the 10-yard line to bring momentum into halftime. The Burros then regrouped and scored from distance with a 42-yard run and passing touchdowns of 27 and 40-yards to extend the lead for the victory.
