Hillsboro Central Valley 42 Thompson 8

With a Region Title in their sites the Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros piled up over 400 yards of rushing offense to defeat the Thompson Tommies 42-8. After a scoreless opening quarter the Burros found the endzone on the first play of the second with a Landon Olson 11-yard run. With a Cole Hebl 51-yard run and Riley Olsen 8-yard run the Burros found the endzone twice more before halftime to lead 21-0 at the break. Thompson would gain momentum right away with Maxwell Roller returning the opening kickoff of the second half for a Touchdown to trim the lead to 21-8. The rest of the game the Burros would control the line of scrimmage, which allowed them to maintain control of the scoreboard, on their way to a sixth straight victory and Region Title. HCV finishes the regular season at 8-1 (8-0 Region record) and will enter the postseason as the #1 seed in Region 2. Thompson finishes the regular season at 7-2 (6-2 Region record) and will be Region 2’s #3 seed in the postseason.
