Thompson 3 Hillsboro-Central Valley (25-9, 25-8, 25-15)

Thompson’s volleyball team put on a strong performance Monday night as they defeated Hillsboro-Central Valley in three straight sets at Thompson.

The Tommies took advantage of Hillsboro-CV hitting errors to jump to a 15-4 lead in the opening set on their way to a 25-9 victory.  The hitting of Clara Stevens (11 kills, one block), Summer Hegg (10 kills, two solo blocks and two block assists) and Brenna Martin (nine kills, one block, one block assist) propelled Thompson the rest of the way.

Sydni Culp, returning to the Burros’ lineup after an injury absence, had six kills to lead HCV.
