Hatton Northwood 9 Nelson County Midkota 7 

Hatton Northwood kept their season alive and sent Nelson County Midkota home in extra innings on Tuesday afternoon at Scott Berry Field in Mayville. Tyson Danzel started on the mound for the Chargers and Brody Rainsberry for the Thunder. 

Hatton Northwood struck early, scoring two runs in the first thanks to hits from Ander Thorsgard, Carson Beaudin, and Keegan Schroeder. Rainsberry and Danzel then silenced bats till the fifth inning when the Thunder struck again with a four run innings

Nelson County Midkota then punched back with a 5 run fifth inning hitting through the lineup with timely hits by Kyle Johnson and Zach Gibson. Nelson County Midkota then took a one run lead in the sixth as Rainsberry and Johnson both scored. 

Hatton Northwood went into the 7th needing a run and Keegan Schroeder answered the call hitting an RBI double scoring Carson Beaudin. 

Aiden Johnson was pitching in relief and shut down the Charger lineup in the 7th and Hatton Northwood came into the top of the 8th scoring a run thanks to a two run triple by Keegan Schroeder. 

Aiden Johnson came in for his final inning of relief and finished off the Thunder securing a spot in the championship game.
