Polk County, MN – The new year has come and gone, those at the Extension offices are expecting meetings and other extension programs to pick up. Extension Educator for Polk and Norman counties Heather Dufault said that among the many pieces of business at the Extension offices are upcoming meetings. Part of a larger schedule, Dufault says the various meetings will run through the end of February. It is best for those affected to stay up-to-date on what meetings occur when. The first she spoke about was the East Polk Crop Improvement Annual Meeting. Dufault explains the agenda that will take place February 1st.

The East Polk Crop Improvement Annual Meeting will take place at the Community Hall in McIntosh. There will be more pesticide applicator training meetings in Ada on February 15th and in Crookston on the 26th. Farmers can preregister for the training at pat.umn.edu or pay at the door with a check. Cow/Calf Days are also coming up in Bagley, MN for next Tuesday, January 25th.

Dufault reports that the Master Gardener program is still continuing, despite the cold weather. Just like the meetings, preparations for the upcoming planting season are underway. For more information about any of the applicator training meetings, go to extension.umn.edu.
