Fertile-Beltrami School Board Recap
Fertile, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 10th. At the meeting, Activities Director Chad Hitchen provided an update to the board on all the activities, or the lack thereof in some instances due to the wet spring, that are going on in the final month of school. Fertile-Beltrami Superintendent Brian Clarke says these last few weeks will be very busy.
One of the big action items this month came in the form of transportation. Superintendent Clarke says they are going to purchase a new bus and a couple school vehicles to try to get ahead of future price jumps.
A few staffing items were addressed at the meeting as well, including the hiring of a new Ag Teacher, according to Clarke.
And there won’t be much for major facility projects around the school this summer. The Fertile-Beltrami School Board had hoped to renovate their West entrance, but unfortunately bids were too high.
The Fertile-Beltrami School Board meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
