Free, Frozen Meals for Crow Wing County Seniors on December 19th

Free frozen meals for Crow Wing County seniors age 60 and older will be distributed in the parking lot of the Deerwood Auditorium located at 23770 Forest Road on Monday, Dec. 19, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud’s Senior Dining program. 

During this drive-through, no-contact distribution, seniors will receive pre-packaged bags of 10 frozen meals. Each senior may receive up to 30 meals in a month. The meals are healthy and nutritious and meet one third of the recommended daily dietary allowance for seniors. They are packaged in microwave and oven safe containers and are easy to heat and eat. There is no fee for the meals; however, contributions are accepted.

The program is partially funded under a contract with the Central Minnesota Council on Aging as part of the Older Americans Act and administered by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Saint Cloud.  For more information, contact CRMC Social Worker Kari Lee Pietz at 218-545-5361.

Crow Wing County seniors will again be able to get free meals, thanks to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud. The Diocese’ Senior Dining program will distribute meals to those aged 60 and up from 11am-noon on Monday, December 19th in the parking lot of the Deerwood auditorium. Seniors will be able to get pre-packaged bags of 10 frozen meals. Each senior is eligible to receive up to 30 meals a month. The meals are nutritious, meeting 1/3 of the daily recommended dietary allowance for older folks.
