Halstad Lutheran Church Hosting Fundraiser for Roof Project
Halstad, MN — The Halstad Lutheran Church is looking to Raise the Roof this Thursday, June 16th with a fundraising event at the Halstad LRC. A new roof with metal shingles was installed on the Halstad Lutheran Church this past week that should last at least the next 50 years, but at a cost of around $116,000. To help cover those costs, the church is hosting the fundraiser featuring a meal, drinks, and raffles on Thursday from 6-10pm, according to Kristi Melting of the Halstad Lutheran Church.
The meal will consist of pork loin, potato, and all the fixings. Tickets, which again are $55, are available at the Valley General Store, Vibrant Salon, or church council members.
In addition to this fundraiser, the Halstad Lutheran Church has been hosting monthly community dinners with different themes on the third Wednesday of each month to support the roof and other community causes.
