(Crosby, MN) — Members of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and their mission work with the Malawi Orphan Care Project will be taking center stage with their annual “Manna for Malawi” taking place at The Bridge Tavern on Highway 6 just north of Crosby.

We chatted with Pastor Paul Mattson as he laid out the events for Sunday, August 14th.

Mattson mentioned about their work that started purely out of happenstance.

The Malawi Orphan Care Project addresses the need of children living in extreme poverty with meals.

The Project also provides education for boys and girls, keeps girls out of arranged marriages and sexuall assault. The Manna will also be highlighted with local performers and well-established talent, The Johnny Holm Band.

Any and all donations are greatly appreciated for this free-will event on Sunday.

The Manna for Malawi will be Sunday, August 14th from 2-6pm from the Bridge Tavern just north of Crosby on Highway 6. Be sure to listen to our full conversation with Pastor Paul Mattson, which can be found with this story here:
