(Aitkin, MN) — Finding all of the right pieces to the Economic Development puzzle includes gaining more ground for housing, child care, and supporting new and old business is what highlights the 2022 goals for Aitkin County.

We recently chatted with Aitkin County Economic Development Coordinator Mark Jeffers and he spoke of providing for all not only through business but also through recreation.

Housing must also be top priority.

The need for broadband for remote parts of the County also continues to be a concern for growth.

Child care and the need for more facilities has drawn more attention from Economic Development, with plans to help create more opportunity.
