REACH Serving Food Needs of Community; Expanding Mental Health Services in 2022

Hendrum, MN — One of the big focuses for REACH, the Rural Enrichment and Counseling Headquarters, this past year has been making sure the people in their service area of rural Clay, Norman, and Becker County don’t go hungry. A shining example from this past year was their backpack program, which provides take-home weekend meals for students, and their senior meals program. REACH Director Peggie Chisholm highlighted their impact on the community this past year through those programs.

Looking ahead to 2022, an added focus for REACH will be on serving the mental health needs of area farmers. Through their new office in Hendrum, Chisholm says they will soon be the first in the region to offer this important mental health service.
