Snow Groomer Catches Fire North of Fosston

Fosston, MN — A snow groomer was burnt up in a fire north of Fosston on Thursday afternoon. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy who was conducting routine patrol, noticed a Bombardier Snow groomer on fire in section 14 of Brandsvold Township. Upon arrival, the driver, 48 year old Jamey Gunderson, reported no injuries. Gunderson was working for the Brandsvold Township removing snow when the machine had a mechanical failure and caught fire. The Bombardier suffered extensive damage. The value is unknown at the time. No other information is available.
