Valley United Coop Hosts Annual Meeting

Halstad, MN — Valley United Coop held their annual meeting on Tuesday morning at the Halstad LRC and online at YourLiveEvent.com.  At the meeting, they discussed their year-end financials, the current state of the industry, and their new fertilizer plant between Hatton and Portland. Overall, Valley United Coop reported $6.5 million in net profits in 2021, of which $2.5 million will be paid back in patronage to its members.

Paul Coppen, CEO of Valley United Coop, says overall the state of the coop is in great shape.

Coppen also highlighted the success of their new fertilizer plant which wrapped up its first year of operation.

And with the Russia-Ukraine situation, Coppen noted that it brings both positives and negatives to the ag industry.

Outgoing boardmember Ron Adams of Reynolds was also recognized during the meeting for forty plus years of service.

Valley United Coop was formed in 2019 as a merger between Reynolds United Cooperative and Halstad Grain Elevator. They are headquarted in Reynolds and currently serve the communities of Ada, Halstad, Buxton, Grandin, Hatton, Hillsboro, Mayville, Portland, and Reynolds.
