6 Injured In Fire & Explosion Near Bagley

A man and five children between the ages of 6 and 14 suffered burns from an explosion and fire north of Bagley Monday afternoon.  The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call around 12:30pm about an explosion and fire at a storage unit.  The Sheriff’s Office says they believe a propane tank in the metal storage unit had been leaking…and when the doors opened and the man lit a cigarette, it caused an explosion.  All six of the injured were taken by ambulance to area hospitals. No word on any of their conditions.  The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
