Bagley Takes First Place at Section 8A One Act Play Competition
Bagley High School hosted the Section 8A One Act Play Competition on Saturday with eight schools performing their plays. First place went to Bagley with their show, a cutting and adaptation of William Shakespeare’s comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” directed by Marilyn Hood. Second place went to Crookston for their production of “The Inexplicable Chaos Factor of Mia Gregory” by Emily Hageman and directed by Beth Carlson. East Grand Forks placed third with their production of “Requiem” by Jerome McDonough and directed by Donovan Hanson. Win-E-Mac finished in fourth place with their production of “Bus Stop”, directed by Andrew Hanson. Bagley will now participate in the State One Act Play Festival on Thursday, February 8th at the O’Shaughnessy Auditorium in St. Paul. Bagley will perform the first play of the day at 9:15 am. This is the seventh consecutive year that Bagley has advanced to the state festival and the eleventh time overall.
