Donna Hanson Retires As Norman County Auditor-Treasurer
Tuesday is the last day of work for Donna Hanson. She’s retiring from her position as Norman County Auditor and Treasurer. Hanson has worked for the County for 33 years. She tells us how her government career started.
Hanson worked her way up to being a deputy auditor-treasurer in 1998 and was appointed to replace Rick Munter upon Munter’s retirement in 2016. She was elected to the position in 2018. In 2021, the auditor-treasurer job became an appointed, rather than elected position. Donna talks about how the job has changed over the years.
Hanson says she has enjoyed her time working at Norman County and she’d “give it a B plus.” Donna Hanson also points out that she made history.
The Norman County Commission has appointed Deputy Auditor-Treasurer Amanda Riegert as the new County Auditor and Treasurer.
