Ada City Council Meets
ADA, MN—The Ada City Council met Tuesday night. The Council approved the preliminary tax levy with an eight percent increase. Ada Mayor John Hintz has details.
The Ada City Council also received an update on the Ada Event Center from City Administrator Ashley Larson. R & J Broadcasting Inc.’s Jim Birkemeyer was at Tuesday’s Council meeting and has this follow up with Ada Mayor John Hintz.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting the Ada City Council approved a new garbage contract with Al’s Disposal with a four percent increase.
The Dekko Center raised almost $6000 this past weekend during the Fun in the Flatlands Celebration. Thank you to all who helped, including the Norman County Fair and the Kelly Thronson Bar-B-Q Committee.
The City Council also approved presenting a proposal to INSPIRE (the former DAC), who operates Hidden Treasures for the purchase of the Main Street business’ building. INSPIRE’s Board has a meeting scheduled for Wednesday. R & J News will follow up on this story.
