The Pequot Lakes Patriots completed the season sweep, defeating St. Cloud Cathedral 3-1 in their final home regular season match.

Set scores: 25-15, 20-25, 25-20, 25-15

The Patriots finished strong in each set they won, closing out the first on a 6-0 run, scoring five of the last six in set three, and wrapping up the night on a 14-4 run in the fourth set after it was tied at 11.

June Ruud was superb with 26 kills and 19/20 from the service line with an ace. Alexa Pietig handed out 27 assists, had three kills, three blocks and was 22/22 serving with an ace. Reese Laposky pitched in with seven kills, Presley Crawford had 8 assists and Avery Amsden tallied three blocks and two kills.

The Patriots had 8 ace blocks as a team. They are now 15-8 on the season, finishing 9-3 in the Granite Ridge Conference, and wrap up their regular season at the Fergus Falls tournament Thursday.

Cathedral ends the regular season at 10-16 (7-5 GRC).
