MN Sen. Johnson Reaction To Tuesday’s Election

One interested observer of Tuesday’s Minnesota elections was State Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson.  The East Grand Forks Republican tells R&J News how the Minnesota Legislature shapes up after Election Day.

You’ll remember State Senator Nicole Mitchell was arrested this past April for first degree burglary when she allegedly broke into her stepmother’s Detroit Lakes home to retrieve her father’s ashes.  

Senator Johnson was also asked if the changes to the House might mean a bonding bill could be passed in the 2025 session.

Mahnomen County officials were disappointed that a bonding bill didn’t pass this year.  It was hoped money from the bonding bill would be used to pay for renovations to the Mahnomen Hospital.
