Mahnomen City Council Meeting

MAHNOMEN, MN—The Mahnomen City Council approved its tax levy for 2025 at Monday night’s council meeting. Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther has the details.

The 2024 levy increase was eight and a half percent.  Also on Monday, the City Council approved a one dollar increase to water rates and an 85 cent increase to sewer rates.

Guenther gave as an example that a Mahnomen household that uses 9000 gallons of water a month would pay an extra $4.62 per month.

The Council also heard a report from City Engineer Jon Pratt about proposed sidewalk improvements and suggestions for water line improvements.
