Fosston Superintendent discusses plans moving forward after student arrested for bringing gun to school 

Yesterday it was announced that an 11 year old student at Magelssen Elementary was detained after bringing a handgun to school. Earlier this morning R&J News had a discussion with Fosston Superintendent Todd Selk about the incident. Selk gives a brief overview of the situation, and praises a staff member for their actions that led to the discovery. 

Selk says no more information on the incident can be released at this time, but he assured that the school is fully cooperating with local law enforcement. 

Selk talked more on the fallout of the incident, and how the district plans to move forward. 

Selk confirmed that there has been an increased law enforcement presence at the school for the time being, as police continue to investigate.
