Travel Assistance Program available to Polk County Veterans 

For many veterans across the United States travel can often be an issue that makes it difficult for them to receive the care they need, as many are not able to drive, but for Veterans in Polk County, there’s a travel assistance program available to them. Polk County Veterans Service Officer Kurt Ellefson tells us more. 

With the start of a new year Ellefson encourages all area veterans to reach out to their County’s Veterans Service Officer to make sure they’re receiving the benefits they’re entitled to, and learn about programs that may be relevant to their current situation.
