January 18, 2025 News -- KRJB-KRJM-KKCQ 0

House DFLers held a press conference on Friday to highlight their priorities for the remainder of the 2025 Legislative Session. Currently the House DFL Caucus is skipping the session as a power sharing agreement has not been signed between the DFL and GOP Caucuses so that remains the DFLs top priority. Another Priority for the House DFL Caucus is to make raising a family more affordable, and Rep. Charlie Kotyza-Witthuhn (Eden Prairie) says that it starts by protecting things like Paid Family Medical Leave, and the Child Tax Credit.

Healthcare was another priority laid out by the DFL Caucus, and Rep Robert Bierman tells us more about what they hope to accomplish with Healthcare.

Finally, House DFLers said they want to bring down the price of housing in Minnesota, and Rep Michael Howard tells us how they plan on doing so.

In the Minnesota House of Representatives the GOP currently holds a one seat majority, but a tie is expected once the special election later this month occurs.
