Mahnomen superintendent discusses effects of potential Dismantling of Department of Education 

There have been discussions on a federal level about the dismantling of the United States Department of Education, and area schools are keeping a close eye on Washington, as this could have major implications for many area schools like the Mahnomen School district. Mahnomen Superintendent Jeff Bisek talks more about what could happen if the  Department of Education was dismantled. 

Bisek says there is also concern about the standing of federal revenue owed to the district for the remainder of the fiscal year. 

As of Thursday evening President Trump has not signed an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education, but the threat is still there.
