International Sugarbeet Institute Kicks Off Today

Grand Forks, ND — The 60th annual International Sugarbeet Institute kicks off today and continues tomorrow at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks with the latest and greatest in sugarbeet related products and services and expert speakers in the sugarbeet industry. Wade Hanson, Secretary of the Red River Valley Sugarbeet Growers, encourages producers to take advantage of the nice weather and expand your knowledge on what’s new in the industry.

Keynote speakers this year include Rob Johansson, Director of Economics and Policy Analysis for the American Sugar Alliance and Luther Markwart, Executive Vice President of the American Sugarbeet Growers Association. Hanson highly recommends taking in Markwart’s presentation if you haven’t heard him speak before.

The International Sugarbeet Institute runs from 9am until 5pm today and 9am until 3pm tomorrow at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. Parking is free.
