(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor City Council reviewed the 2021 Audit, Consultation Services for repairs to the Community Center, and noted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new fire hall on Tuesday, April 5th from the McGregor Fire Hall.

In our conversation with McGregor Mayor Dake Olson, the review of the 2021 Audit brought up more information on some needed updates to Water & Sewer Infrastructure.

The City of McGregor is also continuing to comb through the Budget.

Olson also talked about the McGregor Community Center consulting with Northland Consulting Engineers for work on the building.

The Council also spoke of a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fire Hall, when the weather cooperates.

Mille Lacs Energy Cooperative will also be working on adding a standby generator for the new Fire Hall for people who lose power can come for refuge.

The McGregor City Council is currently holding on raises and reviewed a purchase of a water diffuser for the Maintenance Department; the hiring of Breanna Love for the Ambulance Department; and approved a temporary liquor license for McGregor Chamber of Commerce and renewed liquor licenses for the Buckhorn Bar and Mark’s Bar.

The McGregor City Council will meet next on Tuesday, May 3rd at 6pm from the McGregor Fire Station.
