Aitkin Schools looking at facility projects, bonding funds

(Aitkin, MN) — During the Aitkin School Board meeting from the Mille Lacs Trails Clubhouse on Monday, April 18th, Superintendent Dan Stifter gave the Board an update on the Facilities and Finance Committee.
Superintendent Stifter highlighted some of the initial projects that have to be addressed by the District.
A Capital Facilities bond was also brought up for needed funds for new boilers at the High School.
When questioned about the immediacy of these projects, Superintendent Stifter mentioned that working with an outside company that will lay out the timeline.
The Aitkin School Board will host their next meeting on Monday, May 9th at 6:30pm for a Work Session.
