(Aitkin, MN) — With the announcement of the Butler Building being renamed The Ripple Center this past Friday, we chatted with building owners Christine Bright Marwede and Dwight Marwede about the future plans for the space within the building and upcoming events for the new performing arts center.
Since purchasing the building in early 2020, Both Chirstine and Dwight have taken the opportunity to improve the Opera House space thanks to their background in the performing arts.
The space inside and surrounding the building has been open to the Aitkin Farmer’s Market and other local groups to host new and growing events.
Improvements to the Ripple Center have been “seen and unseen” according to Dwight Marwede, to draw in more events and possible tenants.
Space is currently open for businesses to make the Ripple Center their base of operations and draw in new customers.
