Halstad Rescue Offering CPR & Stop the Bleed Training
Halstad, MN — The Halstad Rescue Squad invites community members to a free CPR & Stop the Bleed Training this coming Monday, February 13th at 6pm at the Legion Recreation Center. This event provides an opportunity to meet your local first responders and learn the basics of CPR and how to use an AED, as well as how to stop the bleed in emergency situations, according to Halstad Rescue Squad President Rachel Arneson.
The #1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding and Arneson says this training will go over the techniques needed to find the source of the bleeding, stop it, and potentially save a life.
A supper will be provided for the trainees, so it is asked that you RSVP by contacting Rachel at 651-366-7221 or by email at arnesonfarm@gmail.com. It is free and open to the general public, as well as those who are existing Emergency Medical Responders and healthcare providers needing to recertify, but additional fees may apply for them.
