Weird and Wacky Wednesday: “52-year-old Spring Breaker arrested in Florida for vandalizing parked car”

A spring breaker arrested in St. Petersburg, Florida for vandalizing a parked car was just doing what wild college students do on spring break — only he’s 52 years-old!  A couple noticed a man standing near their car and “making motions” near the driver’s side. When they confronted him, the man “laughed and ran off down the street.” They noticed the entire side of the car was scratched up and found a butter knife on the ground which he presumably used to cause the damage. Police were called and officers reviewed surveillance footage from a restaurant that the car was parked in front of. It turns out that before scratching up the car, the suspect had put his name down on a wait list at the restaurant and included his phone number, so cops gave him a call and were able to locate him.  Clifford Craig Edwards, a 52-year-old real estate executive on vacation from Missouri admitted to scratching up the car and told cops its was a “spring break mistake.” He was arrested on a felony criminal mischief charge.
