A Holiday Scam

There are always people out there trying to scam you out of money.  With the Christmas season here, the scammers are coming out in force.  Last week on KKCQ’s Food For Thought program, Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman described one scam that he received.

Tadman says with cold winter temperatures, there’s another scam making the rounds.

If you get a call or text like this, remember that utilities don’t ask for payment in gift cards.
