(Brainerd, MN) — The Brainerd Jaycees will be presenting America’s Ice Fishing Tournament this Saturday, January 22nd from 8am-3pm.

After shifting the annual Ice Fishing Extravaganza to a virtual format that raised $125,357.17 from over 4,700 registered participants, the Brainerd Jaycees decided to set up a completely separate, new virtual ice fishing tournament.

The virtual ice fishing tournament will be open country-wide to all anglers and will be hosted through the FishDonkey app. Eligible species for the tournament are walleye, northern pike, crappie, perch, and sunfish. Contestants are eligible to win one of 500 prizes, total value over $67,000, including a new F-150 truck or $25,000 cash. Prizes will be scattered throughout the top 2,000 places based on point awarded fish values.

The entry fee will be $50. Tickets for the event are on sale now through the FishDonkey app, visit www.virtualicefishing.org for more information and event updates are available on the America’s Ice Fishing Facebook page.
