Busy weekend at Itasca State Park 

It’s a busy weekend of Events at Itasca State Park this weekend, and naturalists will be looking forward to a nice fall day to be outside. Itasca State Park Naturalist Connie Cox highlights some of the activities they have going on today, including a new scavenger hunt event. 

Cox says the hiking theme continues later into Saturday afternoon, as there will also be a hike where people can learn about the park’s squirrels and chipmunks. 

Then on Sunday Cox says they will have some more going on including an event at the Old Timers Cabin. 

Cox says if you’re a person who wants to see all the different fall colors but don’t know where to look, the Minnesota DNR has a resource that can help you.
