Central Valley School Sees Rise in Test Scores
The Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday morning.
Principal, Jennifer Sundby, remarked that state testing results were improving overall. However, math is trending downward despite being above the state average. Superintendent, Jeremy Brandt, comments on the results and how a new elementary math curriculum might boost those math scores.
Brandt also says the district has hired Kelsey Adams as their new counselor.
During the meeting, the board also discussed a small leak in the roof in the gym, a shortage of buses and bus drivers, and English and Language Arts training for staff members. The board also approved the first readings of various policy updates and the district’s cybersecurity plan.
