Chamber of Commerce reporting troubling trends in Minnesota business
The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce had representation at the Minnesota State Capitol today for the House Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee meeting. During the meeting the committee heard from Lauryn Schothorst from the MN Chamber of Commerce who spoke on troubling trends relating to business in the State of Minnesota.
Schothorst also discussed some negative trends they’re seeing Minnesota’s GDP, and job growth, and she also highlighted some of the issues the Chamber of Commerce believes the state needs to address immediately.
Schothorst said that unfunded state mandates have also become an issue for small businesses across the state, and she specifically addressed the new Earned Safe/Sick Time Mandate that was passed in last year’s session.
