Child Dies From Injuries In Grand Forks Vehicle Crash
Here’s an update to a story R&J News has been following. A 6-year-old child who was injured in a two vehicle crash Monday near the Grand Forks Airport has now died from injuries suffered in that accident. The child, whose name has not been released, was airlifted to a Fargo hospital following the accident. The child was a passenger in an SUV that was stopped at a red light and was rear-ended by a pickup truck driven by 43-year-old Travis Bell of Fordville Monday night. The driver of the SUV, 26-year-old Nicole Louthian of the Grand Forks Air Force Base, remains hospitalized with serious injuries. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Bell will face upgraded charges. So far, he has been charged with felony criminal vehicular injury. He also took a breathalyzer test that registered at 0-point-13—that’s above the legal limit, but Bell hasn’t been charged for anything alcohol-related at this time.
