Chronic Wasting Disease found in deer near Hawley 

Earlier this week the Minnesota DNR confirmed a positive Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) test in a deer harvested near Hawley in DPA266. Northwest Minnesota Wildlife Supervisor Rob Baden tells us what the DNR knows about the case so far. 

Baden says in response to the test the DNR has started putting together a response plan, and he says that hunters should expect some changes in the deer season this fall. 

Lastly Baden gave a brief explanation of what Chronic Wasting Disease is, and whether it has any effect on humans.
