Deer Population goal input being sought by DNR

(Minnesota) — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is looking for public input on deer population goal setting for the 28 permitted areas through webinars set for today and Thursday.

After conferring on Monday for the North Central Deer Permit Areas, webinars will take place for the Northeast DPA on Wednesday, January 26th and the Southeast DPA on Thursday, January 27th.

People are strongly encouraged to attend the webinar for their DPA before formulating their responses to the online questionnaire on goal setting.The DNR will take the questionnaires along with comments from the webinars and Q&A, and use this to establish the deer population goals as part of managing the state’s wild deer.
