DNR Fisheries supervisor highlights the best lakes for ice fishing in the region 

The 2024/2025 Ice Fishing season is underway as some fishermen are taking to lakes across Northwest Minnesota. Northwest Area Fisheries Supervisor for the Minnesota DNR Nathan Olson highlights some of the best lakes across the region for Ice Fishing this winter. 

If you do plan on fishing at South Twin however, Olson says you may not encounter very many walleyes, but many pike.
