Ada-Borup-West vs Frazee

Frazee overcame deficits of 14 points in the first half and two times of five points in the second half to defeat Ada-Borup-West in Frazee Friday night, 61-58. There were six lead changes in the opening five minutes with Ada-Borup-West gaining the lead at 14-13, the teams exchanged field goals with the Lady Cougars going on a 12-0 run for a 29-15 lead.   Frazee used on and off full  court pressure with the Cougars cooling with shooting to trim the deficit to five, 37-32 at halftime in favor of the visiting Cougars.  In the second half, Frazee tied the score at 45-45, Ada-Borup-West answered with a 5-0 surge and 50-45 score with 7:08 to play. After a Frazee time, they scored the next five points and a 50-50 tie, and another tie score at 53-53 a few minutes later. Ada-Borup-West last led 54-53 when Frazee followed with two 3-point field goals and a 59-54 lead.  The Cougars would score two more times,— the game was 59-58 with :16 remaining and some Cougar fouls ( they were under the limit) eventually put Frazee at the free throw line with :10 to play.  Jayden Sonnenberg made both free throws for the 61-58 score. A last second three point field goal attempt by Ada-Borup-West was no good as time expired.  Frazee made 11 three-point field goals in the game as they improve to 9-6 overall. Ada-Borup-West lost back to back games for the first time this season and falls to 7-3 overall.
