Ada Borup West scored through the air in the first half, and had to grind for a score in the second half, while their defense pitched a shut-out in their season opening victory 14-0 at New York Mills.  The defensive game was strong for both teams to open the season.  Ada Borup West Scored with 4:47 to play in the first quarter after turning the Eagles over on downs.  Two plays, both through the air, and Mason Larson caught an Austin McCraven pass for a touchdown and it was 7-0. That score would hold till 7:47 in the fourth quarter, after the Eagles botched a punt, the Cougars went 22 yards in four plays and Luke Jalbert dove into the endzone for the games final score, making it 14-0 as Ada Borup West moves to 1-0 while New York Mills falls to 0-1.
